Hugh Scott-Douglas making cyanotypes look awesomely hip at Blum and Poe.
I’m glad Martha Stewart’s website was allowed to take some beautiful photos inside the Adamson House in Malibu. During a recent visit there I so wanted to record all of its amazing tilework.
Visiting Hill End Press recently in rural New South Wales.
East London Printmakers. Run by their own group of keyholders, all profits rolled back into keeping their awesome shop running. Super nice group of people to boot!
Real Renaissance Suites/Faux Renaissance Suites, St Louis.
Sketch is absolutely worth a visit when in London. Martin Creed’s installation in the Gallery Restaurant is unbelievable. We didn’t want a whole sit-down affair, so popped into The Parlour for high tea one afternoon.
RA is an amazing concept store in Antwerp. Emerging fashion talent from Antwerp and abroad, art installations, cafe, stunning vintage. Unlike any store I’ve ever been in.
Hotel Du Nord is a much-blogged about spot and was so worth the trip over there. It sits on a lovely canal and our lunch was very special. Here is me and my Daddy at lunch!
Borough Market is such a great spot. When I headed there with my parents we ate upstairs at Roast right by the windows looking down at shoppers and lunchtime-drinkers in the neighboring streets.
The Pompidou Centre. There were two major highlights during our day here. The first was the exhibition, Dreamlands. It was about the human propensity for creating fantastical themepark-like cities and tourist destinations. The second was an amazing lunch shared with my parents at Restaurant Georges up on the sixth floor. It had a stunning view of the city (that we could just make out through the fog) and the decor was something else.
Tape Bar was a very cool but very tiny little bar near the Bastille. We had drinks outside in the streets on a mild, lively evening.
Foam Museum was a much-anticipated photography gallery/museum that didn’t disappoint. They had a beautiful backyard area that unfortunately wasn’t open due to the weather. They have a fantastic journal that I could have bought their entire back-catalog of, but had to settle for just one copy.
